Carol Hutchins has seen a lot as a college softball player, and now as coach of the Wolverines for more than 25 years. Hutchins coached the team in 2005, winning the first NCAA championship title ever won by a softball team located north of the Mason-Dixon Line. |
Jim Betts was a standout safety for the Michigan Wolverines in the late '60s, taking and dishing bone-jarring hits every day throughout the fall season and spring drills. However, it was during a pick-up basketball game in the intramural building that he tore his medial meniscus. That injury continues to cause problems today. |
Mike Teeter went through college and six years of pro football before hanging up the pads to return to his hometown of Grand Haven, Michigan raise a family and start a commercial real estate development business. Strangely, Mike tore his ACL in eighth grade but never knew it until he was playing in the NFL. |
Jenna Craft is a member of the Class of 2009 at Pinckney Community High School. She first tore her ACL at the age of 12 playing basketball for a community league team. Following 15 months of surgery and rehabilitation, she went back to sports, this time girls' soccer, only to tear the ACL in her other knee. Yet another round of surgery and rehabilitation ensued. Today, she devotes her time to studies and soccer as a forward on the Lady Pirates. |
