The U-M Collaboration
The Bone & Joint Injury Prevention & Rehabilitation Center brings together multiple collaborators at the University of Michigan. Collaborators include the Medical School (led by the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, with MedSport, Emergency Department, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Pediatrics, Neurosurgery, and Geriatrics), Division of Kinesiology, College of Engineering (Department of Mechanical Engineering and Department of Biomedical Engineering), and School of Public Health. Complementing these collaborations are key units, such as Transportation Research Institute and Depression Center.
The breadth and depth of these collaborative relationships places the University of Michigan among the foremost institutions for integrating musculoskeletal and head injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation research and education.
